Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Where do you focus your community work?
We are based in New Jersey, with an initial community focus that includes New Jersey, the Pennsylvania region, and Delaware. Our goal is to build meaningful programs and community relationships within these areas as the Foundation develops. We may expand into additional communities over time, but we do not present future expansion areas as places we currently serve.
Are you a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization?
Yes. Tera Tera Foundation is legally incorporated, and we have been approved as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization under the Internal Revenue Code. This nonprofit status supports our community-centered mission and provides an important level of transparency for people considering volunteering, donating, collaborating, or otherwise supporting our developing programs.
Are donations to your nonprofit tax-deductible?
Yes. Donations to Tera Tera Foundation can be described as tax-deductible based on our confirmed 501(c)(3) status. We encourage donors to keep appropriate records and consult their own tax professional when they need advice about how a charitable contribution may apply to their individual tax situation. Donation options will be presented through the website as the payment process is finalized.
Which programs are you launching first?
Our early priorities include food drives, free medical screening camps coordinated with qualified professionals, and community health and wellness educational sessions. Youth Volunteer and Leadership is also a major launch priority as we build structured opportunities for young people to serve, develop leadership skills, and participate in community activities. Because we are still developing these initiatives, specific dates and recurring schedules will be announced only when they are confirmed.
Do you provide medical treatment or advice?
No. We are not a clinic, medical practice, or healthcare treatment provider. We do not diagnose conditions, prescribe medication, provide individual medical treatment, or establish provider-patient relationships. Our health-related work focuses on community education, preventive awareness, wellness information, screening opportunities, healthcare navigation, and connections to appropriate resources. Health programs and screening initiatives may involve qualified professionals, but personal medical decisions should always be discussed with an appropriate healthcare provider.
How can I volunteer with you?
You can express interest through our volunteer pathway as opportunities become available. We are developing structured volunteer roles connected with community events, health education activities, wellness programs, outreach, event planning, administrative support, marketing support, service projects, and other community initiatives. Opportunities may vary depending on the activity, program stage, and volunteer responsibilities. Our goal is to make volunteering meaningful while helping participants develop community responsibility, leadership, and the spirit of Seva.
Can you document my community-service hours?
Yes. We plan to document community-service hours for volunteers participating in approved Foundation activities. Letters or certificates may also be available upon request when appropriate. This can be particularly helpful for students and young people seeking a clear record of their service. Documentation reflects genuine participation, so requirements and available records may depend on the specific volunteer role or activity.
What volunteer opportunities may you offer?
Our developing volunteer program may include opportunities to assist with community events, health-education programs, wellness workshops, health fairs, blood donation initiatives, community outreach, event planning, marketing support, administrative tasks, and community-service projects. We want volunteers to contribute in ways that are useful to the community while gaining practical experience, leadership exposure, and a stronger understanding of responsible service.
What requirements apply to youth volunteering with you?
We welcome youth involvement and are developing opportunities for young people to participate in community service and leadership activities. Volunteers under 18 will require parental or guardian consent, and requirements may vary depending on the role. Certain positions involving direct work with youth or vulnerable populations may require background checks. Exact minimum-age requirements are still being finalized, so we do not publish a specific minimum volunteer age at this stage.
Can you provide volunteer letters or certificates?
Yes. Letters or certificates may be provided upon request for volunteers who participate in eligible Foundation activities. We also intend to document community-service hours. These records are designed to reflect actual participation and service, so the type of documentation available may depend on the activity completed and the volunteer’s involvement.
What does your community health program include?
Our Community Health and Wellness work focuses on education, prevention, awareness, and access to reliable information. Topics may include healthy lifestyles, nutrition, diabetes awareness, hypertension awareness, medication safety, women’s and men’s health education, disease prevention, preventive services, and general wellness education. We also plan to help community members better understand screening opportunities, healthcare navigation, and appropriate community resources without replacing professional medical care.
How will your free screening camps work?
We plan to organize free community medical screening camps in collaboration with qualified individuals and organizations. Our role is to coordinate community programs, facilitate access to screening opportunities, provide education, and help connect participants with appropriate resources. Exact screening types, locations, schedules, and operational details will be announced only after they are confirmed. The Foundation itself will not diagnose conditions or act as a participant’s healthcare provider.
Who may support your health programs?
Depending on the specific program, our health-related initiatives may involve physicians, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, nurses, medical students, community organizations, and other appropriate qualified participants. Their roles will depend on the activity and confirmed arrangements. We do not assume that every person involved holds the same professional status, and we will describe individual roles accurately as programs and collaborations are finalized.
What health topics do you educate about?
Our planned health education may cover preventive health awareness, nutrition, healthy lifestyles, diabetes awareness, hypertension awareness, medication safety, women’s health, men’s health, disease prevention, wellness, and awareness of preventive services. The purpose is to help people become better informed and understand when professional medical care or additional resources may be appropriate. Educational information is not intended to diagnose or treat individual health conditions.
What financial literacy education will you provide?
Our planned financial literacy workshops may address practical topics such as budgeting, saving, managing household expenses, emergency savings, credit education, banking basics, financial goal setting, understanding financial products, loan-process awareness, financial-aid awareness, basic investing education, homeownership education, retirement education, and other foundational financial concepts. These educational programs may be particularly useful for youth, new immigrants to the United States, and other community members seeking stronger basic financial knowledge.
Do you provide personal financial advice?
No. Our financial literacy work is educational. We do not provide individualized financial planning, investment advice, tax advice, legal advice, credit repair, loan brokerage, mortgage services, or personal financial consulting. Our goal is to help people better understand financial concepts and common processes so they can make more informed decisions and know when to seek guidance from an appropriate qualified professional.
Are your financial literacy workshops available now?
Financial literacy workshops are currently planned as a launching-soon initiative rather than a regularly operating program. We are developing the educational direction and potential topics, but specific dates, locations, presenters, and registration information will be shared only after they are confirmed. Visitors interested in future financial education can stay connected for program updates.
What are your food drive plans?
Food drives are one of our early community priorities. We intend to organize community-focused food drive initiatives as the Foundation develops its outreach activities. Details such as collection locations, accepted items, distribution procedures, eligibility, partner organizations, and schedules have not yet been finalized. We will provide specific participation information once an individual food drive is confirmed.
Will you organize blood donation drives?
We plan to organize blood donation drives as part of our community health and service initiatives, and this program is currently considered a launching-soon activity. A blood collection partner, event location, schedule, eligibility requirements, and donation procedures have not yet been confirmed. We will publish accurate event-specific details when a blood donation drive is formally arranged.
What future programs are you planning?
Our longer-term plans include practical life-skills education, digital literacy opportunities for seniors, preventive health education initiatives, and scholarship and mentorship programs. These are future programs rather than currently available services. As the Foundation grows and details are confirmed, we will provide accurate information about eligibility, registration, schedules, and program structure instead of announcing opportunities before they are ready.
Will you offer digital literacy for seniors?
Digital literacy for seniors is part of our future program direction. The planned focus may include basic computer skills that can help seniors check important emails, navigate common digital systems, and access health or financial information online. This program is not currently presented as active, and we will provide more details once its format and availability are confirmed.
Do you currently offer scholarships or mentorship?
Not yet. Scholarship and mentorship initiatives are part of our future plans, but application requirements, eligibility, award amounts, dates, selection processes, mentorship formats, and program duration have not been finalized. We will not present scholarships or mentorship applications as open until a formal program is ready and accurate participation information is available.
How can I learn about upcoming events?
As events and programs are confirmed, we plan to share information through the website and other approved communication channels. Visitors will be able to learn about community health fairs, educational workshops, wellness seminars, blood donation initiatives, outreach activities, volunteer opportunities, and other events when real dates and registration details are available. We avoid publishing tentative schedules as though they are confirmed.
Can I sponsor one of your events?
Yes, we welcome enquiries from individuals, businesses, and organizations interested in supporting future community events. Formal sponsorship packages, pricing levels, benefits, and recognition arrangements have not yet been established, so we handle sponsorship interest through direct discussion rather than offering unconfirmed packages. Contacting us is the best way to explore whether a future opportunity may align with your interests.
Can my organization collaborate with you?
Yes. We are interested in building appropriate community relationships and may collaborate with healthcare professionals, financial educators, community organizations, and other qualified individuals or groups whose expertise aligns with our mission and developing programs. Because partnerships are still being built, we do not imply that a formal relationship exists until it has been confirmed. Organizations interested in contributing knowledge, resources, or participation are welcome to start a conversation with us.
Can healthcare professionals volunteer with you?
Healthcare professionals may be able to support developing health education, wellness, screening, and community-awareness activities where their qualifications and the program needs are a suitable match. We welcome enquiries from professionals interested in contributing their knowledge through community service. Specific responsibilities will depend on confirmed program plans, professional scope, and the needs of each activity.
Who can participate in your programs?
We aim to serve individuals and families from varied backgrounds. Our priority audiences may include youth, young adults, seniors, underserved communities, people who face barriers to health education or community resources, and others who may benefit from specific educational initiatives. Some programs may be designed around a particular audience, but we do not impose unconfirmed income, ethnicity, immigration-status, or medical eligibility requirements.
Why are some programs listed as coming soon?
We are in the founding and early-development stage, which means our mission, nonprofit structure, and program direction are established while individual programs, partnerships, schedules, and registration processes continue to develop. Clearly identifying programs as launching first, launching soon, or future initiatives helps us give visitors accurate information instead of creating the impression that every planned activity is already operating.

What does Seva mean to you?
